Cox Medical Explorers: The Cox Health Medical Explorers program is a rewarding, non-traditional educational avenue for students ages 15-20 trying to decide if a health care career fits into their future. Explorers may begin their program in September or February. All qualifications must be met to be eligible for this exclusive, high quality program.
Missouri Cadet Patrol Program:A program sponsored by The American Legion Department of Missouri, Inc., in cooperation with the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A week long summer opportunity for students interested in law enforcement. Students must be 16-18 years of age and have a "C" average or higher. Missouri Girls State: The Missouri Girls State program was first established in 1940. The purpose is to promote pride in America. Girls create a fictitious state where the citizens will govern at the city, county and state level. They will have speakers who serve as leaders in our Missouri government as well as hold important offices in our communities. This is open to girls in their junior year of high school; interested students should contact their school counselor for details. If interested, please see the counselor during second quarter.
Missouri Boys State: The American Legion Boys State of Missouri is an eight-day hands on experience in the operation and fundamentals of government. Missouri Boys State draws together the best and brightest high school juniors to help lead them down the path of individual success and leadership through "doing," not just learning. White River Valley Electric Cooperative Youth Tour: To be eligible, you must (1) be a high school junior and attend a high school in WRVEC’s five-county service territory or (2) be home-schooled within WRVEC’s five-county service territory, between 16-17 years of age, and at a junior level equivalent. Your family does not need to be a member of the Cooperative. For consideration, participants will answer the following question: How will the Cooperative power your future?
